Inspired by the sculptures of the artist Sean Scully, 6DH designed, collaborated and made their own 3D sculptures using cubes and cuboids. They applied a wide range if maths skills to make their creations a reality.
6DH enjoyed a drum workshop on the last Thursday of the half term as one of the many activities during Art Week.
Today Year 6 were visited by some magistrates who explained all about their role in court and discussed laws and consequences with the class. The children had the chance to ask lots of questions about our country’s justice system and how it works.
The children also participated in a role play of a trial for a child who was accused of sending threatening messages online. The class weighed up the evidence provided to decide on their verdict of whether he was guilty or innocent and then discussed what an appropriate sentence should be.
